Methods: The expressions of pS2, c-erbB-2 genes in 58 cases of breast cancer (30 cases of Korean, 28 cases of Han nationality), 27 cases of benign breast tissues adjacent to breast cancer and 15 cases of fibroadenoma were tested by Immunohistochemical assay(S-P). Results: The positive rate of pS2, c-erbB-2 genens expression in 58 cases of breast cander was 50.0% and 41.4%, respectively. The positive rate of pS2, c-erbB-2 genes expression in 27 cases of benign breast tissues adjacent to breast cancer was 0 and 7.4%, respectively. The positive rate of pS2, c-erbB-2 genes expression in 15 cases of fibroadenoma were 0. The expression of pS2 had positive relation to ER(P<0.01) and PR(P<0.01), had negative relation to thesie of tumor(P<0.01), histological grade(P<0.01) and clinical staging(P<0.05). The expression of pS2 in breast carcinoma was not related to patients'age and lymphonode metastasis(P>0.05). The expression of c-erbB-2 had negative relation to ERI(P<0.01) and PR(P<0.05), had positive relation to the size of tumor(P<0.05), histological grade(P<0.01) and clinical staging(.P<0.05), and not related to patients'age and lymphonode metastasis(P<0.05). The expressin of pS2 had negative relation to c-erbB-2(P<0.01). The positive rate of pS2 in breast cancer of Korean and Han nationality in Yanbian was 70.0% and 28.6%, respectively. There was significant difference between them(P<0.01). The positive rate of c-erbB-2 was 33.3% and 50.0%, repectively. But there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05). Conclusions: ER, PR, pS2 and c-erbb-2 could be considered as a prognostic predictor for breast carcinoma and to be a factor that can be used toinstruct the endocrine-therapy of breast cancer. The expression of pS2 of Korean patients is significantly different from that of Han nationality patients in Yanbian. But the expression of c-erbB-2 is not significantly different from that. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Breast neoplasms, pS2, c-erbB-2, Immunohistochemistry, Endocrine-therapy | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
