Clinical Research On Treatment Of NCV Of Type 2 Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy By Internal And External Therapy

Objective: TO offer integrated Traditional and Western Medicine reliable clinical curative efficacy for type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy( DPN) .Methods: 60 patients with DPN were randomly divided into three groups.All patients were controlled the level of glucose by oral antihyperglycemic agents(OAH),diet control,sport and psychological control . The first test group involving 20 patients were treated by taking TangZhouSanTeng decoction and localized washing of Tangzhouwaixi lotion,and the other test group involving 20 patients were treated by taking Tangzhousanteng decoction alone.The control group involving 20 patients were treated by taking Methycobal and VitB1.The treatment course was two months.The changes of nerve conduction velocity,Michigan diabeteic neuropathy score,fasting blood glucose,2 hour postprandial blood glucose,HbAlc, triglyceride , total cholesterol and blood viscosity were determined.Results: After the treatment of two months, the efficacy rate in test groups was 89.5%, 78.9%,and in control group was 55%.The difference among groups was significant (P<0.01) .The NCV, MDNS, the levels of blood viscosity were improved in test groups, the difference among groups was significant (P<0.01or P<0.05) ,and the difference of NCV, the levels of blood viscosity between test groups was also significant (P<0.01) . The levels of blood glucose ,HbAlc, triglyceride were decreased in test groups(P<0.05),but compared with test group ,the difference was not significant. During the treatment course ,no bad reaction happened in test groups.Conclusions: Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine , Internal and External Therapy in treating DPN ,can not only improve its symptoms and MDNS ,but also ameliorate the NCV .
