Objective:To explore the immunologic changes in infants with breast milk jaundice. And analyze the correlation of cellular,humeral and complements between serum bililubin and immune function. Methods:In the study group, 38 infants with breast milk jaundice were enrolled. They were divided into two groups according to their serum bilirubin level, Group B serum bililubin level over 205μmol/L and Group A lower than 205μmol/L.40 healthy infants were selected as control group C. Then T cell subsets,CD40,CD40L,CD23+,immunoglobulin and C3,C4 were examine by the flow cytometry and Nephelomentry. Results: In group A: CD3+ 63.14±2.15, CD4+45.57±2.19, CD8+ 30.01±3.22, CD4+/ CD8+ 1.53±0.15, CD40 2.92±0.75, CD40L 1.44±0.33,IgA 30.77±10.00 mg/L,IgG6.32±0.70 g/L, IgM 49.48±21.00 mg/L, CD23+ 3.43±1.07,C3 0.88±0.17 , C4 0.29±0.09. In group B: CD3+ 61.97±2.19, CD4+27.42±2.14, CD8+ 24.59±2.28, CD4+/ CD8+ 1.12±0.15, CD40 1.87±0.80, CD40L 1.05±0.23,IgA22.02±10.04 mg/L, IgG 5.77±0.66 g/L, IgM 41.73±12.83 mg/L, CD23+ 2.17±0.21,C3 0.34±0.11, C4 0.16±0.07. In group C: CD3+ 68.06±2.99, CD4+ 40.09±6.49, CD8+ 29.16±3.50, CD4+/ CD8+ 1.39±0.28, CD40 4.12±1.06, CD40L 1.53±0.36,IgA 47.26±16.21 mg/L,IgG8.05±0.81 g/L, IgM86.96±14.16 mg/L,CD23+ 4.65±0.55, C3 0.92±0.21, C4 0.32±0.07. By statistic analysis, the B group CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,CD40,CD40L,CD23+,IgA,IgG,IgM,C3,C4 were lower than those of Group A and C significantly ( P< 0.01). The CD23+, IgA,IgG,IgM in group A were lower than those of group C. Conclusions:CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,CD40,CD40L were decrease when the hyperbililubinemia over 205μmol/L in BMJ infants. CD23+ B lymphocyte was decreased, immunoglobulins and complements were also in lower level. Hyperbilirubinemia in BMJ infants is as a whole could lower their immunology status.
