| Diagnostic medicine has progressed tremendously in the last several decades and provide new methods for detecting disease or physical impairment. Research studies to assess the operating characteristic of diagnostic tests aim to ensure that accurate and cost-effective procedures are selected for widespread use. A statistical tool that is popular for describing diagnostic accuracy is the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve. This paper introduce the primary and some relevant definition of ROC curve and its speciality first. According to the difference of data type, discuss several classic methods to estimate ROC curve ,especially present the location-scale model of regression method in detail, this model nature is a generalized linear model after transform. Receive the illumination of generalized partial linear single-index model, we propose a mended location-scale model to estimate ROC curve. This mended model is more effective than before and get satisfied outcome.
