To study the effects of progression muscle relaxation on the students with trait anxiety, we investigated the state of the anxiety and memory function and assessed the effects of relaxation by State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Clinic Memory Measures and event-related potentials. The results indicated the scores of inanition figure recognize of the high trait anxiety group are significantly lower than low trait anxiety group during the exam stress period; ERP data indicated that reduced amplitude of P300 and delayed latency of P300 of high trait anxiety groups compared with low trait anxiety ones during the exam stress period. The data of management group with high trait anxiety by progression muscle relaxation showed the same results of the inventory and P300 with low trait group while those of significant difference with high-trait anxiety group. Above results suggested that relaxation can relieve the exam anxiety and enhance the memory function and P300 can be used as the criterion to evaluate... |
