Curative Effect And Mechanism Study On The Combination Of NT And Gastrodine API For Megrim

Objective: Curative effect and mechanism study on the combination of NT and gastrodine API for megrim are discussed.Method: 70 patients with liver yang headache were divided into two groups at random. There are 40 patients in treatment group (NT and API group) and 30 patients in comparison group (only NT group). API is used to TG after NT. Manipulation is the same to TG in CG except API. Headache grade, TCM syndrome grade, evaluation for syndrome improvement and ET measuration in plasma are made for two groups at the beginning and at the end of treatment.Result: There is a remarkable diversity in headache grade, TCM syndrome grade, syndrome improvement and the change of ET content in plasma in each group at the beginning and at the end of treatment. Headache grade improvement in TG is superior to CG. (P<0.05). Diversity in curative effect between two groups, according to the analysis of Ridit Test (u=2.26), is distinct. TG is much better than CG. By comparison , there is no distinct diversity for the change of ET content in plasma at the end of treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion: The combination of NT and gastrodine API has favorable effects for megrim. Its mechanism is possibly related to the decrease of ET content in plasma and a further verification is necessary.
