| Objective To evaluate the efficacy of "Xingnao Kaiqiao" acupuncture treatment for patients with Hyperlipidemia affiliated to cerebral infarction, and to provide a new method for clinical practice.Methods There were 60 cases of patients with Hyperlipidemia affiliated to cerebral infarction in this study. They were divided into 2 groups randomly: one was "Xingnao Kaiqiao" acupuncture treatment group, and the other was Nianzhiyin-taking control group, each including 30 cases of patients. The pretreatment levels of blood-lipid were measured and compared with those after 4 weeks of treatment. The symptomatic scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine of both groups were evaluated before and after treatment, respectively.Results 1. The total effective rate in "Xingnao Kaiqiao" acupuncture treatment group was 72.41%, which was not different from that (65.52%) of Nianzhiyin-taking control group (P>0 .05).2. After treatment, the levels of the serum total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG)decreased in "Xingnao Kaiqiao" acupuncture treatment group, there was a marked difference between before and after treatment (P<0.01, P<0.05).3. The clinical symptoms of patients in "Xingnao Kaiqiao" acupuncture treatment groupwere obviously improved, the total effective rate was 89.66%, which was superior to that of Nianzhiyin-taking control group (P<0.05). It could improve anaesthesia and twinge in extremity, dizziness, distend in chest and hypochondrium, anorexia, drowsiness, which was also superior to that of Nianzhiyin-taking control group (P<0.05). Conclusion "Xingnao Kaiqiao" acupuncture treatment may lower the levels of blood-lipid inpatients with Hyperlipidemia affiliated to cerebral infarction, and improve theclinical symptoms with no toxic and side effect. |
