Objectives: To identify the adjacent relationship of important human heart anatomical structures on the slice imaging at horizontal, coronary and sagittalis dimension individually and then contrast them with the spiral CT imagings in order to establish their corresponding correlation and give reference to the optimal sectional location and position selection for clinical diagnostic imaging.Second, to aquire the three dimensional and virtual reconstruction of human heart and compare with the three dimensional reconstruction imagings arising from CT in the hope to provide a reference model in three-dimensional reconstruction of CT imagings of heart application.Materials: and methods :Four fresh and five fixed human heart preparations were subjected to vessel infuse ,cardiac chamber filling ,5% formalin fixation and ultra low temperature freezing moulding respectively. Then each samples were cut into 0.2mm slices at — 20℃~ —25℃ and imaging of each slice was acquired simultaneously by a 11 million pixels digital camera .After pinpointed by Photoshop 7.0,the heart structures were dissected and then the three dimensional reconstruction of the dissected heart structures was made including volume and surface measurement of some structures by 3D DOCTOR1.0. Parallely, another three dimensional reconstruction was got by Virtual Reality 1.0.Finally,the comparative study was conducted between experimental and spiral CT imagings as well as the imagings from both 3DDOCTOR1.0 and SYNGO software ,the data generated by Virtual Reality 1.0 taken as a reference .Results: The fresh human heart was fixed by warm waterwarm water suspension packing, which successfully maintained the normal heart morphology without any deforms. A total of 16 data sets were generated at horizontal, coronary and sagittalis dimension ,among which 9 horizontal data sets were from the visible humn data of China. The thinnest slice was 0.2mm whilst the thickest was 0.5mm.The size of each original imaging was 31.5MB with BMP type. The samples were not defected during the preparations processing. The individual heart structures were dissected and threedimensional reconstruction plus volume and surface parameter were got by way of marking heart surface ,artery ,vein , atrium, ventricles, atrial septum ,sarco-interventricular septum> membranous interventricular septum(membranous part and compartment)and heart apex etc with different colors .The corresponding relationship between slice imaging and CT imaging as well as their three dimensional reconstruction structures were established by the comparative study. Taken the clinical utilization into account ,the optimal location and position selection was also explored .Conclusions: The frozen thin cross-sectional acquisition technique and high pixel digital image taken by this study can guarantee high definiting continuous slice imaging. The features of our heart imaging set are thin slice ,clear structure, high resolution and high quality superior to previous datas ,which might be fit for being taken as reference of CT,MRI and TEE ect.The three dimensional reconstruction and visualization are able to show spatial location ,size and adjacent relation of tiny heart structures at different direction and dimension ,which would provide much more accurate diagnostic imaging of heart diseases .The establishment of visible human virtual heart can deliver a elementary platform in the surgical operating simulate and heart anatomy study.
