The Clinical Study Of Jieyu Decoction On Depression

Based on systematically review of past dynasties and tutor's many years clinical experience, the theory that the stagnation of the circulation of liver's vital energy and overtax one's nerves is the main pathogenesis of the depression was put forward. Thus the therapeutic principle should be soothe liver and relieve uneasiness of body and mind. In clinical study, 45 patients with depression be treated for 12 weeks were randomly divided into two groups: jieyu decoction treating group(30 cases)and baiyoujie pill's control group(15 cases).All the 45 cases observed were diagnosed according to the diagnostic standard of depression of CCMD-â…¢and DSM-â…£.The clinical result showed that total effective rate was 66.70% in treating group and 73.33% in control group. That proved the jieyu decoction has good effect as well as baiyoujie pill and has no toxic.That also proved there is a significance in relieving symptoms with prolonging treating time from the comparison in the group.The treating time should not be less than 12w,what is the same to most results. That proves there are different in acting target of thetwo groups.
