Objects: To investigate the change of SOD,MDA, GSH in serum of smoking rats, as well as the variations of them in BALE It can be used to provide the objective evidance in studying the pathogenesis of COPD.Methods: Wistar rats (n=32) were randomized into no smoking group and smoking 1 month group, 2 month group, 3 month group, each group was eight. the serum and BALF of each group were collected, the level of SOD, MDA, GSH in serum and BALF was detected. Results: (l)The serum GSH content in smoking 1 month group(116.42± 36.3 nmol/ml), smoking 3 month group(391.87+135.54 nmol/ml) were higher than that of no smoking group(293.72±155.76 nmol/ml) ; smoking 3 month group(391.87 ± 135.54 nmol/ml) was significantly higher than that of smoking 2 month group (174.51 ± 69.83 nmol/ml), (P<0.05). (2) The serum SOD activity(116.42 ±36.3 U/ml) in smoking 2 month group was significantly higher than those of no smoking group(104.54± 13.17 U/ml) , smoking 1 group(100.20± 12.96 U/ml)and smoking 3 group(99.51 ± 12.23 U/ml), (P<0.05 respectively).(3)The MDA content in serum and BALF in all smoking groups were higher than that of no smoking group ,but no statistic significance(P>0.05 respectively). Conclusion: Different smoking time can result in the change of the level of SOD,MDA, GSH in serum and BALF of the smoking rats. The increase of oxidant, the decrease of antioxidant and imbalance of oxidantion /antioxidantion might play important role in COPD induced by smoking. |
