Methods Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control groupand enriching-fat-diet fed group. At 8,12 and 20 weeks the early changes of thecoronary artery were examined using light microscope.Computorized imageprocessing was employed to measure the cornary aratory intima-mediathickness(IMI).Plasma adiponectin and TNFα were measured by ELISA. Results The early stages of coronary lesion occurred in IGT 12weeks.The decrease of plasma adiponectin were observed at 8 weeks.Thecoronay artery intima-media thickness was correlated positively with theadiponectin. Conclusion The decrease of adiponectin occurred before visible andmeasurable coronary artery pathological changes. Adiponectin may play aprotective role, and meanwileand TNFα is harmful in the progression of IGTcoronary artery lesion. Adiponectin can be used as an early figure to predict IGTcoronary lesion. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | IGT, adiponectin, TNFα, coronary atery lesion | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
