The Experiment Study Of The Treatment Of Breast Carcinoma And Its Metastasis By The Ruxiankang Capsule

Objective To investigate the inhibiting mechanism of the Ruxiankang capsule on the growth and metastasis of human breast carcinoma in nude mice.Methed A total of 32 female nude mice having received xenotransplanted human breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-435 were randomly divided into 3 groupsxontrol group with 12, Ruxiankang group with 10(0.25mg/kg/d, 5 times per week, gastrogavage), CTX group with 10(20mg/kg/d, 2 times per week, abdominal cavity injection). After 14 weeks, mice were killed, then we mensurated the weight of tumor, lungs and body weight. We detected expression of VEGF in tumor specimen by immunohistochemistry and analyzed the tumor cell cycle distribution with flow cytometry.Results The tumor weight of the Ruxiankang group and the CTX group is less than the NS group's(P < 0.01) , but the tumor weight of the CTX group is less than the Ruxiankang group's(P < 0.05), the mice's body weight of the CTX group is less than the the NS group's(P < 0.05) . The numbers of the metastasic foci on lungs and the lungs' weight of the Ruxiankang group and the CTX group is less than the NS group's(P<0.01), but there is not statistical significance between the Ruxiankang group's and the CTX group's (P > 0.05) . The expression of VEGF in the Ruxiankang group and the CTX group are less than the NS group's(P < 0.01). There is statistical significance between the proportion of G₀/G₁ phase account for the whole cell cycle in the Ruxiankang group and the NS group's(P < 0.05).Conclusions The Ruxiankang capsule can inhibit the growth and metastasis of human breast carcinoma, its mechanism may be relative to inhibiting the angiogenesis and the proliferation of carcinoma cell. The Ruxiankang capsule have the less side-effect.
