| Objective: We built the animal model of refractory epilepsy. According to animal experiments investigate the expression of MRP 1 gene in refractory epilepsy and discuss its significance.Materials and methods: We used Wistar rats to build the animal model of refractory epilepsy. 3 group were used to excute this study : the resistance group (group D) , the non-resistance group (group E) , and the control group (group A) . The expression of MRP 1 in their peripheral blood cells was detected by semi- quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT -PCR).Results: We built 10 animal models of refractory epilepsy successfully in this test. The relative expression of MRP-1 gene in peripheral blood was tested . The result of resistance group was 0. 813+0. 033 , the non-resistance group was 0. 595+0. 018 , and the control group was 0. 601 + 0. 021. We had one-way ANOVA. As a result, we found that the difference between the resistance group and the non-resistance group was significant. Aslo, the difference between the resistance group and the control group was significant. While, there was no significant difference between the non-resistance group and the control group. Conclusion: We found that the difference between the resistance group and the non-resistance group was significant . Aslo, the difference between the resistance group and the control group was significant . While, there was no significant difference between the non-resistance group and the control group . This indicated that MRP was a very important factor in the etiopathogenisis of refractory epilepsy, while only seizure did not increase the expression of MRP. The expression of MRP in their peripheral blood cells might be a object indicator in the diagnosis and therapy of refractory epilepsy. |
