The renovation of material and technology will lead to the development of oral Prosthodontics. Many researchers are working hard to introduce new material and technology into Oral Prosthodontics. The aim of this study is to introduce a new material—Ti-Zr alloy and a new technology—laser solid forming into the area of Oral Prosthodontics based on the achievement of former researchers. We prepared a kind of new metal powder of Ti-Zr alloy, and we made a basic study on the technical control of this alloy by laser solid forming. Also, We made a fundamental study on the properties of this alloy after it was formed by laser. We hoped that the result of our research will give a new idea to the preparation of oral prosthodontics by providing a new material and technology.The main methods and contents of this research are showed in the following sentences. First, we prepared a new metal powder of Ti-Zr alloy by the method of machine comminuting afer it is synthesized. To be used in the technology of laser solid forming; this powder must have fitting chemical and physical characters. Next, Divided by the orthogonal design method, do single cladding test under different technologic parameter matching, we get a optimized technologic parameter of this powder when it is formed by laser solid forming; Finally, we tested the mechanical properties ,the corrosive property and the biological of this new alloy after it is formed by laser solid forming.After do the research, we get the following reaults:1 , We got the powder of Ti-Zr alloy, the main properties of this powder is :non-ball figure, -100~+200mu bulk, 0.38 oxygen contents , 1.77g/cm3 density and 47.36s/50g fluidity. We can find that the Ti-Zr powder has good feeding properties under fast taking pictures. Beside this, the powder is not jammed by long time feeding. Also, the convergence of powder feeding is good enough to satisfy the demand of laser solid forming.2, Under the parameters that the ratio of laser power to faculae acreage is 3.3Kw/7.06mm2, the powder feeding rate is 1.99g/min and the move speed of numerical control machine is 5 mm/s, the powder has better powder feeding efficiency. The mean of powder feeding efficiency is 98.49%= The factor of aser power to faculae diameter and the move speed of numerical control machine have statistics significance(p<0.01), but the powder feeding speed does not have statistics significance(p=0.192)3 , Under the parameters that the ratio of laser power to faculae acreage is 2.7Kw/7.06mm2, the powder feeding rate is 4.26g/min and the move speed of numerical control machine is 20 mm/s, the powder has better H and W, which is 826.61 urn and 3504.61 jam individually. The different level of each factor has statistics significance (p<0.01).4,The data of tensile strength (ab=940MPa, a0.2=890MPa, 8=7.5%) was collected. The mechanical properties of Ti-Zr alloy formed by laser solid forming is better than the same alloy formed by traditional casting. Also, the Ti-Zr alloy has good anti-corrosion property in oral circumstance and the level of cytotoxicity was grade 0~l. This new material has good biocompatibility.Conclusions: The powder of Ti-Zr alloy made by he method of machine comminuting afer it is synthesized is suitable for the technology of laser solid forming. Under certain technological control ,the Ti-Zr alloy formed by laser solid forming have good mechanical properties, anti-corrosion properties and good biocompatibility.
