Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Dr. Deng' s Coronary Heart Diseases (CHD) Capsules for the treatment of Stable Angina Pectoris in patients of the qi deficit plus phlegm and blood static class.Method: This is a single-blind, radomized, matched controlled trial. According to the WHO' s diagnosis criteria, a total of 90 stable angina pectoris patients who had 2 months history at least were split into 3 groups. The groups separately were Dr. Deng' s CHD Capsule treatment group, isosorbide mononitrate controlled group (group B), and Composite Danshen Droplet Pills controlled group (group C). One courses of treatment which lasted for 3 months were undergone. During the courses of treatment, the following were observed: clinical symptoms of angina, nitron-glycerine stopped or decreased percentage, EKG reading, active flatbed motion test and Chinese medical symptoms.Results:Clinical symptoms of angina curative effect: Treatment group shown 83.3%, group B shown 73.3%, and group C shown 76.7%. Their differences had no statistical significance.Nitro-glycerine stopped or decreased percentage curative effect: Treatment group shown 83. 3%, group B shown 46. 7%, group C shown 53. 3%. The curative effect of treatment group was much better than the others.
