| AIM: To make animal model of high-altitude cerebral edema and investigate acid-base disequilibrium of arterial blood and cerebrospinal fluid in dogs in low altitude reaching high altitude and influence of inspiration treatment on acid-base disequilibrium and intracellular ph of brain. METHODS: Twenty dogs in low altitude were reared in cabins decompressed to 5000m for three days, cerebrospinal fluid pressures were measured and arterial blood and CSF samples were synchronously dynamically extracted for acid-base analysis. Then 97%dephlogisticated air (O2), high-altitude air containing 3%carbon dioxide (CO2) and mixed air of the two kinds of gas were inspired by different groups for evaluating curative effect. Finally section-staining of brain tissues was operated and intracellular ph in hippocampus CA1 domain was measured. RESULTS: After 1 day in high altitude, respiratory alkalosis occurred in... |
