object: To investigate the pathogenesis of epilepsy in the aspect of neurotransmitter, demonstrate the clinical effect of DTC by experimental method and study its mechanism of action in epilepsy.Methods: 40 adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups (stratified according to their sex and weight) as control group, model groups , Chinese herbs group and Western medicine group. The last three were respectively administered to physiological saline, OTC and carbamazepine ( CBZ ) by gastric garage .A week later, all the rats were include to epilepsy by PTZ by the improved Dehil epileptic model method . The grade of onset was determined by Smialowki standard after kindle. After the model group was included completely, killed all the rats immediately by decapitation, extracted the brains and assay their content of NOS of all the epileptic brains and assay their content of NOS deal with all data by statistical analysis . Result : the content of NOS the epileptic brains were decreased compared with that of control group ( P<0. 05), DTC can lower the onset grade of epilepsy OP<0. 01) and decrease the level of NOS in epileptic rats brains .Conclusion : DTC can probably decrease the level of NOS in rat' s brain and relieve the onset thus , protect neurons of brains .The DTC has no significance compared with the carbamazepine group and is an optimal ant-epilepsy prescription . |
