A Clinical Research On Children's Constitution Of Cough Variant Asthma

Objective:To observe the constitution types of the children of Cough Variant Asthma(CVA) and study the characteristic of the CVA children's constitution types and composing,for the sake of giving the evidence for the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) to give the precaution and the therapy to CVA by modulating the CVA children's constitution.Methods:Giving the research to the samples which were divided into CVA group and comparison group,including the items of age, stature,weight ,history of hypersusceptibility ,history of family's disease,and individual history.Dividing the children into different constitution types according to the established criterion.Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS/PC 10.05 system software.Results:In the two groups,the items of history of hypersusceptibility ,history of family's disease have proved distinctly different(p<0.01). In the two groups ,the number of the types of congruity constitution and non- congruity constitution are distinctly different(p<0.01).In CVA group,all the children are non-congruity constitution types.In the CVA group and the comparison group ,A type and B type have significant difference in non-congruity constitutions children(p <0.01).The B type constitution is much more distributing in CVA group.Moreover,it's also the same of the B type constitution's distributing in the children of Fei-Pi constitution types in the two groups(p<0.01).Conclusions: 1. Compared with the comparison group,the number of children who have positive history of hypersusceptibility and family's disease are markedly different. 2.Compared with the comparison group, the number of children not only between the congruity constitution and non-congruity constitution,but also between the Fei-Pi constitution and Pi-Shen constitution have significant difference.AH the children in CVA group are non-congruity constitution types.Of all the children with Fei-Pi constitution types,there is much more distributing in CVA group than that of comparison group. 3.The criterion of constitution types which is adopted in this research can be recommended in some degree and area. 4. there is a hypothesis that probably the particular constitution which caused the CVA in the episode of CVA.
