Objective : to study the relationship between the expression of transforming growth factor- p 1 ( TGF- P 1) in transplant kidney and late graft loss , to investigate the possibility of TGP-Pi is used as a biologic index sign to predict the occurrence of late graft loss method the renal biopsy specimen of 17 which were divided into the living-related donor group of 5, cadaveric donor group of 6 and control group of 6 were examined the expression of TTGP-Pi by the S-P method of immunohistochemistry. All of the specimens of morphological analysis were performed by the optical microscope . the renal biopsy specimen of 5 were observed super microstructure by the electronic microscope, the result the expression of TGP-Pi and histological diagnosis were comparison analyed. Result (1) To compare the rate of late graft loss in cadaveric donor kidney group with that in living-related donor kidney group has not show the significantly difference ( p>0.05) . (2) The positive rate of TGF- β1 cell in cadaveric donor kidney group was highest than that of the living-related donor kidney group and control group, it is not significantly difference To compare the positive rate of TGF- Pi cell in the living-related donor kidney group with cont group(40.20 +11.63vs20.01 ?.21,p<0.05; 40.20 + 11.63 vsi5.35 + 0.60,p<0.07; 20.01 + 8.21 vs 15.35 + 0.60,p<0.05) (3) With the time prolonging, the expression of TGF- Pi has a high gradually trend , the rate of expression of > 12 Months group is higher than 0-3 Months group ( p<0.05) (4)The expression of TGF- pi in the renal function reduced group was obviously high, the rate of expression was higher thanthat of the kidney function normal group (39.07 ?1.03 vs 16.94?5.19, p<0.01) (5)The rate of positive cell percentage in the case who the pathological diagnosis was late graft loss was obviously higher, the rate of expression was higher than that of non- late graft loss (39.87 ?1.86vs 20.41 ?8.96, p<0.05) (6) The rate of expression of TGF- Pi may be relate to the serious degree of the renal super microstructure's injury, with the serious degree of injury increasing ,the level of expression will more high. Conclusion (1) The expression of TGF- PI has something to do with late graft loss in following kidney transplantation, it may be to used as a earlier period biological index sign to predict the occurrence of late graft loss (2) The rate of expression of TGF- Pi in whether the renal function reduced or late graft loss in following kidney transplantation will increasing respectively. (3) With transplant kidney survival time prolonging, the rate of expression of TGF- Pi will increasing (4) In surgical operation of the kidney transplantation, all donor kidneys may be to have the injury of super microstructure, this kind of injury very may possible to be one of the major reason of acute rejection or late graft loss. (5) Transplant kidney's biopsy is beneficial to the clinical diagnosis of late graft loss and adjust the dosage of immunosuppressant.
