An Exprimental Study On Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Correlate With IGF-2R,P27 And P21 Expression

Objective :This study is in order to explore the expressions of IGF-2R, P27, P21 proteins in NPC tissues and its clinical significance . Methods : To detect the expressions of IGF-2R, P27,P21 proteins in total 84 samples of NPC tissues and tissues of nasopharyngitis by immunohistochemical staining technology . Results:(l) IGF-2R protein levels were noted to be significantly higher in tissues of nasopharyngitis and nonlymphatic metastasis NPC tissues than in neck lymphatic metastasis NPC tissues(P < 0.05), whereas there was no significant difference between the expressions in tissues of nasopharyngitis and nonlymphatic metastasis NPC tissues(P > 0.05).(2) P27 protein levels were noted to be higher in tissues of nasopharyngitis than in NPC tissues , there was significant difference between them(P <0.05). (3) P21 protein levels were noted to be lower in tissues of nasopharyngitis than in NPC tissues , there was significant difference between them (P < 0.05). (4) There are slightly positive correlations between the IGF-2R protein levels and the P27 protein levels in NPC tissues , there are negative correlations between P21 proteinlevels and P27 protein levels , P21 protein levels and IGF-2R protein levels .(5) There are no correlations between clinical phases and IGF-2R, P27, P21 protein levels in NPC tissues . Conclusions: (1) The decreased expression of tumor suppression gene IGF-2R is correlate with the development of NPC . It is the first time that we obtain the gene correlate with NPC in our country. The decreased expression of tumor suppression gene P27 is an early-stage phenomenon in the genesis of NPC. P27 can not play a major role in the development of NPC , but P27 cooperates with IGF-2R in the occurrence and development of NPC . (2) The upregulated expression of P21 is an early-stage phenomenon in the genesis of NPC . (3) There aren't correlations between the expression of IGF-2R, P27, P21 and clinical phases of NPC , but the detection of the expression of IGF-2R, P27 and P21 is contribute to the diagnosis of NPC in a certain degree.
