Power Line Communication Technology is a communication method for transmitting data and voice over power line. There are two kinds of Power Line Carrier technology. One is used for Load Control, Remote Meter Reading and Home Automation, which is a short rate application. The other is used for image, video and multimedia data transmission, which is a high-speed application. But it is a new application that Power Line Communication is used for transmitting medical signals, such as monitor and control, medical monitoring, calling, waveform, medical image and soon.In the part of theoretical research and summarize, we summarized the basic concept, the state of application and the potential market of Power Line Communication. We concluded the application domain of Power Line Communication, at the same time analyzed the significance of medical signal transmitting. We discussed two main modulation techniques of Power Line Carrier, and analyzed advantages or difficulties of Power Line Carrier. It stressed that we discussed the realizable principle and mathematical model on the Spread Spectrum Communication, besides the technicality that the Spread Spectrum Communication could resist the strong jam and the big attenuation.In the part of experimental study, we fulfilled a communication module that based on the Spread Spectrum Communication, and a temperature acquisition module that took on low power dissipation. At the same time we particularly illustrated the hardware interfaces and operating principles. On the basis of hardware interfaces, we projected the softwares that MCU manipulated the communication module of Power Line Carrier and the temperature acquisition module. We not only adopted USB technology in the communication interfaces of the modules, but also designed the hardware interfaces and the relevant software programs.In the part of the result in experiment, we detailedly analyzed the data and wavefonns of the result in experiment. Simultaneously we discussed and settled the open questions or precautions while we debugged circuits and softwares. Finally, a summary of present thesis is given, and the future work that the high speed Power Line Communication be used for medical services is put forward.
