| Objectie To investigate the association between systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and the polymorphism of Fc gamma receptor type Ⅲ in Han patients from YunNan province. Methods Genotypes of FcγRIIIA-158V/F were determined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and analysed by restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP) in 67 patients with SLE and 64 normal controls , then compared the difference between each group. Furthmore , we make a study on the correlation between the polymorphism distribution of FcyRⅢA and the patients with lupus nephritis. Results The frequencies of both homozygous FcγRⅢA-158F/F genotype and FcγRⅢA-158F allele are significantly higher in patients with SLE and lupus nephritis. Conclusion The result suggest that an abnormal distribution of FcγRⅢA-158F/V polymorphism is associated with SLE and lupus nephritis in Hans from YunNan province. The gene frequency of FcγRⅢA-F allele is a risk factor for SLE and lupus nephritis maybe. FcγRⅢa are expressed on macrophage and other cells , and the polymorphism of this receptor could activate the function of thecells.Fc gamma receptor Ⅲa-F/F is a kind of low affinity receptor. The gene frequency of FcyRⅢ A-F is much higher than normal controls, and it results the abnormal function of clearing immune complex. It could potentially alter disease susceptibility or disease expression of SLE. |
