Objective To examine the effect of direct stenting on blood levels of CRP and cTnl , and evaluate optimized interventional treatments of coronary artery disease .Methods Fifty-two patients underwent direct stenting were included in this study . Sixty-two patients received conventional stenting were selected as controls.Blood samples for measurement of CRP and cTnl were taken in the early morning of the procedure and the next morning after the procedure. Results In patients with direct stenting CRP levels after the procedure were significantly higher than those before the procedure, but blood levels of cTnl after the procedure were not significantly higher than those before the procedure. .In patients with conventional stenting both CRP and cTnl levels after the procedure were significantly higher than those before the procedure. Conclusion Direct stenting causes a detectable increase in blood levels of CRP.But there is no detectable increase in cTnl levels .The increase in CRP levels might be caused by local inflammation rather than myocardial injury.Compared with conventional stenting, direct stentingmight alleviate myocardial injury. Therefore, direct stenting may be a kind of optimized interventional treatment for these patients.
