| Objective To investigate the relationship between severe degree of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and Apgar score,to study the influence of HIE severity and therapic period on the prognosis. Method The registered patients were grouped according HIE severity, one was moderate HIE group another was severe HIE group. All infants were given regular therapy during neonate phase, then they were devided into two groups according to whether or not continued treatment after neonate phase. The DQ assessment was used to judge their prognosis. Result The contribution rate of severe HIE was 50%( 11/22) in the score of<3 at 1 minute, and the rate of severe HIE was 47.3%(9/19) in the score of 4-7 at 1 minute. There was not significant difference between the two groups. The contribution rate of severe HIE was 90%(9/10) in the score of<7 at 10 minute, and the rate of severe HIEwas 41%(18/44) in the score of>7 at 10 minute, indicating significant difference between the two groups. In severe HIE, DQ value (88.05+5.06) of postnatal therapy group was higher than DQ value (78.64+13.11) of the non-therapy group at 10 months. The rate of poor prognosis was 5.6%(1/18) at the therapy group, but it was 36.3%(4/11) at the non-therapy group, there was significantly different between the twogroups (t=2.361, P<0.05).The DQ value (94.85+7.81) of moderate HIEat 10 months was higher than that of severe HIE of the therapygroup, indicating better prognosis(?=3.25, P<0.05)Conclusion Neonatal asphyxia resuscitation and continus therapy afterneonate phase could decreas the sequela of nervous system and improvethe outcome of HIE. |
