Objective: To study roles of herbs on Rabbit bile duct benign stricture. Methods: Establish the benign bile duct stricture model by jawing extrohepatic bile duct in rabbit, then perfusion the rabbit stomach with Chinese herbs(Sargentodoxacuneate Rehd et. Wils, Blood-activatin and Stasis-eliminating drug). After half a month .observe the pathology of bile duct and hyperplasia of bile duct .Results: In benign bile duct stricture tissue, the growth of fibroblasts are actived in model group, the growth of fibroblasts are not actived obviously in Chinese herbs group. Conclusion: The continuous proliferation of fibroblasts is the main cause of bile duct benign stricture. Studing the effects of Chinese herbs to bile duct fibroblasts will probably provide a new way to prevent bile duct strictures resulting in abnormal scar.
