Objectives: to find a probable biomarker for diagnosing Alzheimer disease. Methods: According to the diagnostic standards of NINCDS-ADRDA, we selected 30 subjects, including 11 AD patients, 11 VD patients and 8 normal controls, to make the qualitive and quantitive analyses of P -tubulin and APP in plasma ,by using Western blotting. Result: After exposure to film, we compared AOD among three groops(AD, VD and NC), showing that in plasma, β-tubulinAD> β -tubulinvo (P<0.05), β -tubulinAD> β -tubulinNC(P<0.05); APPAD>APPvD (P<0.05), APPAD>APPNC(P<0.05). β-tubulin and APP have positive correlation and the correlation coefficient is 0.451 (P<0.05). Conclusion: The plasma concentrations of β -tubulin and APP in AD patient is higher than that in VD patient and normal aged and they have positive correlation. The plasma concentrations of P -tubulin and APP are the potential biomarker for diagnosing AD.
