Objective: The study was designed to investigate the relationship between the level of plasma atrial natriuretic peptides(ANP) and the parameters of color echocardiography in patients with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.Material and Method: 86 patients, male 64, female 22, mean 54. 9 + 11. 8 year-old were involved in this study, All of the patients had electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, coronary angiography and physical examination. Plasma level of ANP was assessed simultaneously. The relationship between plasma ANP concentration and the patient's parameters of echocardiography and NYHA heart function classification and 6 minutes walk distance were analysised respectivelyResults: The level of plasma ANP increased in patients with impaired left ventricular diastolic function. The patients had the worse heart function and the lower LVEF, the higher level of plasma ANP. There were significant relationships between thelevel of ANP and LA, E/A, LYDd, LYDs, EDY, ESY, IYRT, DT, S/D, LYEF, LYFS, DIS (r>0. 4, P<0. 01), except for PYa, PYa-dur, Ea/Aa, Em/Am, IYS and LYPW.Conclusion: The result of this study suggested that the level of plasma ANP was a reliable marker of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and had close relationships with clinical and echocardiography cardiac function parameters. |
