| OBJECTIVE The hypothesis of neurodevelopment is considered that some factors include genetics and early environment disturb neural natural growth. It can not be found in childhood, just some subtlety disorder in physical, until adolescence and manhood schizophrenia appeared. We will investigate about heredity, birth season, neural system soft sign and magnetic resonance imaging in schizophrenia patients, discussing the relation between them. All we do it for synthetical validating the hypothesis of neurodevelopment in schizophrenia. METHOD 101 patients with PANSS>60 were included. They were diagnosis as schizophrenia according to CCMDI , excluding sever physical disease, substance abuse, brain organic psychosis and mental retardation. Everyone is rightand favorable and only received Clozapine for treatment. Treatment response was assessed by PANSS before medication began and 4 week after initiation of treatment. At first day in hospital they were inquired family history and birth season. An experienced doctor surveys their neural system soft sign, based the design of Kolalowaska. Beside these, magnetic resonance imaging in brain is also needed. 150 normal control subjects were select randomly from Nanjing Brain hospital. They also required birth season, and 30 of them magnetic resonance imaging in brain. The results were statistically analyzed with SPSS For Window 10. 0. The related factors were analyzed with liner correlation. RESULTS (1)The rate of winterirth in schizophrenia was significantly higher than control group. Schizophrenia patients had larger third ventricle, caudate nucleus than the normal control, whereas the signal of hippocampus was lower than the control. (2)Between the winterirth and nointerirth there were no significant differece in soft sign. The winterirth group had higher hippocampus signals. (3)The value of pronounce, one of soft sign, was higher in negtiveamily history group than positiveamily. The group of negtiveamily history had smaller frontal lobus , larger corpus callosum than of positiveamily. (4)The early onset patients(<25y) had larger third ventricle, hippocampus and front lobus than later onset patients (>25y). (5) There were no significanly different in soft sign and brain stucture between paranoid group and noaranoid group. (6)Patients with short(<5y) disease duration had smaller caudate nucleus than with long(>5y) disease duration. (7)The volume of caudate nucleus were correlated with negative factor and response absence factor. The volume of corpus callosum were correlated with positive factor and depression factor. (8)The total figure of soft sign were correlate with paranoid factor, negative factor and positive factor. CONCLUSION (l)Schizophrenia patients had abnormal structure in brain. Our studies demonstrated the disorder of neuroevelopment in schiaophrenia. The larger volumes of caudate nucleus may be the base of DA sthenics. The anomaly extent of hippocampus is important to determined remittence of symptom. (2)Birth season is an important hazard early factor in onset of schizophrenia. In future studies we can consider other environmental factors such as obstetric complications. (3)The development of frontal lobus is easily influenced by early environment factors and the anomaly extent o... |
