Objective:To investigate the features and association between psychosocial factors, neuroendocrine and immunity of generalized anxiety disorder.Methods:30 patients with generalized anxiety disorder , 25 patients with depressive neurosis and 15 normal controls entered the study .Three groups were compared in psychosocial factors, neuroendocrine and immune function. Psychosocial factors include life events assessed with LES, coping style assessed with Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ) and personality character assessed with Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ). neuroendocrine includes basal plasma cortisol level, plasma cortisol after 1mg dexamethasone oral administration (dexamethasone suppression test, DST) and the concentration of prolactin. Immune function includes serum levels of interleukin-2 (IL-2), ratios of natural killer and CD3+ cells. Results:The number of negative life events and LEU value in generalized anxiety disorder group are lower than those in depressive neurosis group. The number of total life events, negative events and LEU value in GAD group are higher than those of depressive neurosis group. The generalized anxiety disorder group has less positive coping style than hormal group, while it has more passive coping style than depressive neurosis group and normal control group. N dimension value of EPQ in generalized anxiety disorder is higher than thai of DN group and NC group. There was no significant difference in N dimension value of EPQIIGAD is less than that of DN group, but more- than that of NC group. There was no significant difference in serum level of basal COR and PRL among three groups. The concentration of JL-2 of GAD was higher than that of two control groups. There was no significant difference in the proportion of CD3+ and NK cells between GAD group and the control groups. The positive result of DST correlates with basal COR level positively and with NK ratio negatively. The serum level of LL-2 has negative correlation with the number of life events and positive correlation with L dimension value of EPQ, serum PRL level and the NK proportion. Conclusion:The patients with GAD often suffer psychosocial stress. They have more passive coping style, unstable emotion, abnormal HPA axis and immune function probably. There are association and affecting among psychosocial factors, neuroendocrine and immunity ofGAD.Postgraduate: SHEN XinhuaDirected by WU Aiqin...
