The effects of simulated acid rain stress on correlative indexes of seed germination were studied through putting stress on seeds of Lolium perenne, Festuca arundinacea, Agrostis palustris and Cynodon dactylon by simulating acid rain solution with different pH values. The results showed that four turfgrass'germination abilities and vitalities were suffered different influences under acid rain stress. Acid rain intensity pH2.0 completely inhibited the seed germination of turfgrass, showing the germination percentage, germination energy and vigor index are zero. pH2.5 when Cynodon dactylon seed still do not sprout, the germination percentage of Lolium perenne decreased slightly, Agrostis palustris decline is extremely significant, Festuca arundinacea is not affected, and was not significantly different.Furthermore, this research has acid rain stress on seedlings of Zoysia matrella, Cynodon dactylon, Lolium perenne and Festuca arundinacea from the external form and physical and chemical change. The results indicated that acid rain is destructive to the turfgrass'growth. Under acid rain stress, the membrane permeability and the content of MDA increased, while the content of total chlorophyll and soluble protein decreased in leaves of seedling as the stress degree increased or the time prolonged. And the acid rain also decomposed the balance of protective enzyme systems. Indicators'changes varied along with different plants and acid rain intensity, and stress time.In this study, principal component analysis and fuzzy membership function of evaluation were used for test materials'overall evaluation. The results showed: in the germination test, 4 grass seeds'anti-acid rain ability order (from strong to weak) is: Festuca arundinacea> Lolium perenne> Agrostis palustris> Cynodon dactylon. While in the seedling test, 4 grass seedlings'anti-acid rain ability order (from strong to weak) is: Cynodon dactylon> Zoysia matrella> Festuca arundinacea> Lolium perenne.
