| In view of the natural typical arid desert area of Jiayuguan, Hexi Corridor, this article puts efforts on research of introducing and viticulture of wine-making grapes. Primarily it chooses superior wine-making grape seeds that suit local situation most, and proposes viticulture technique, therefore provides technical support for development of grape and wine industry.â… . Primarily it chooses two sorts of improved variety of wine-making grapes suitable for viticulture in Jiayuguan Area.Under observation and species introducing experiments of six wine-making grapes including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pivot Noir, Italian Riesling, Vidal and Chardonnay, and tentatively the article chooses red grape variety Merlot, and white grape variety Vidal, which are the superior breed suitable for Jiayuguan area.â…¡. The research provides viticultural technique for wine-making grapes in Jiayuguan area.Through viticulture technique test, it promotes following viticulture technique of wine-making grapes suitable for Jiayuguan area:â…°. Propagation technique: Mix 30% of sand with 60% of soil for planting and 10% of cattle manure to make preparation of nutrient soil and cuttage treatment to be used. Leaving the cutting with a 8cm bud. After dipping in powder for striking root of ABT2 solution for 4 hours (cutting root about 5 cm) , root the cutting in row.â…±.Trellis construction and reshaping & pruning technique: Single-row and single-armed trellis, with ditch 1.2m wide, space between ditches 3m, with column 6m, and column 1.8m high. Every column should be connected with 3 pieces of iron wires which is 8mm in diameter, with the lowest wire 40cm above ground. Single long rod reshaping technique: Select one strong bud in the year of transplanting as young sprout and viticulture; Leave 3 to 5 buds to level-stubble prune in winter; In the following year, leave the vine of 80 to 120 cm and pinching repeatedly. Prune the pinching area in winter; In the third year, cut the main wine off which is no shorter than 30 cm from ground. The vine which is 30 cm above ground should be left with new tips every 15 to 20 cm, which should be viticultured as fruiting branch, and every branch should be left with 2 to 3 buds.â…². Fertilization technique: 5 kilograms of farmyard manure for each sapling before transplanting; And 1 kilogram of compound fertilizer (15:15:15) for each sapling should be applied annually prior to florescence, during fruit-development (FD) stage and during coloring stage of grape fruit.â…³. Cold resistance and overwintering technique: Dig soil starting from middle of grape ditch to other two sides, and fill main vine with 15 to 25 cm deep pillow-soil around it, leaving the main vine lying on pillow-soil towards south, cover the vine tip with soil, and then bury the main vine with cold-resistance soil up to 30 cm. |
