Six kentucky bluegrasses were taken as object in the experiment that treated by drought resistance and salt endurance in seed germination stage and seedling stage. The index such as percentage of germination, germinative force, relative germination percentage, RWC, Chl, MDA, Pro, POD, soluble protein content and membrane permeability were measured respectively, and drought resistance and salt tolerances of the 6 varieties were evaluated. The results were as follows:1. Under drought-resistance, percentage of breeds germination and relative germination percentage were descended with stress level's ascending. Under low-grade drought stress, indexes of materials were decreased, but Blacksburg and Award's relative germination percentage were ascended in small ranges. RWC and Chl content of 6 breeds were showed descending trend. MDA, Pro, POD and soluble protein content were showed ascending trend.2. Under NaCl stress, the percentage of germination, germinative force and relative germination percentage of 6 breeds were decreased with the increase of NaCl strength. It was showed that NaCl stress had evidently inhibit Kentucky bluegrass seeds, and different decline with different varieties, so their sensitivities were different. Membrane permeability, Pro and MDA content of 6 Kentucky bluegrass varieties were increased with salt concentration increasing.3. Through comprehensive analysis of membership function, the order of drought-resistance ability of six Kentucky bluegrass varieties of was: Blacksburg >Nuglade> Midnightâ…¡>Moonshine>Rugbyâ…¡>Award. The order of salt-resistant ability of six varieties of Kentucky bluegrass was: Nuglade>Award >Blacksburg> Midnightâ…¡>Rugbyâ…¡>Moonshine.
