This study investigated the cultivation techniques and adaptation of wild Cotoneaster horizontalis Dcne, that high-altitude introduction to low-altitude, mainly cutting technology and seed's dormancy mechanism and nursery technology, UV irradiation treatment and different fertilization treatment on the flowering of Cotoneaster horizontalis Dcne, as well as through a number of physiological and biochemical indicators to study heat resistance, to explore the possibility of normal growth in the main city of Chongqing. The major findings are as follows:Cotoneaster horizontalis Dcne, that treated with different concentration of rooting powder were cutting on different substratum. The results showed the best cutting substratum was humus soil. The treatment of Guoguang rooting powder concentration of 5000 mg·kg-1 to Cotoneaster horizontalis Dcne, had a good results on the survival, concentration of 2500 mg·kg-1 and the concentration of 10000 mg·kg-1 were second. Without dealing with the rooting powder was the worst. We selected different position of branches as cutting wood cutted on purple soil. The hardwood cuttings'rooting rate and the average root length and average number of root was the largest. So hardwood cutting would achieved the best results. We studied morphology characters of seeds by electron microscope, measured seeds absorbing water, detected biotic of methanol extract of endocarp and embryo. To break seed dormancy, we seeding on different time, stacked different days and deal with seeds with different concentration of GA3. At the same time, measured the growth state when it germinated 80 day. The result showed: The embryo defective development is the main reason for Cotoneaster horizontalis Dcne. morphological dormancy. Stacked volume 30 days can break dormancy. And they grow well. We studied florescence and flowering characteristis of Cotoneaster horizontalis Dene. through on it different level of UV irradiation treatment and different level of fertilization treatment. The results show that: The leaf expansion and squaring stage of A level of UV irradiation treatment was the first, and bright colors, flowering rate and the flowering rate of branches was the highest, flower density relatively low, but after comprehensive assessment, A level was optimal. Different fertilization treatments effected on leaf expansion and florescence smaller, in the flowering traits, additional nitrogen will help improve the flowering rate and potassium help to improve the flowering rate of branches. Finally, we determined the optimum combination was N2P0K2, i.e. to purple soil nitrogen 21.739mg/kg, Potassium 563.3mg/kg, no P fertilizer, the flowering rate of 100%, the branches flowering rate of 41.67%, flower density was 1.81/cm.in the heat stress, with the temperature, the membrane permeability, MDA content and proline content was on the increase, the larger values in 45℃. And at this temperature, with time, membrane permeability did not change and MDA content first increased and then decreased again rising trend line, proline content has been increased substantially, indicating at 45℃in vivo greatly increased the concentration of free radicals, increased lipid peroxidation, and cell membrane was severely damaged.
