In this paper, the extraction of efficacious ingredients to inhibiting agricultural insects of ginkgo sarcotesta, selection of high quality and high yield superior sarcotesta-used ginkgo clones were studied systematically. The results were as follows:1, Based on the studies of efficacious ingredients physicochemical characteristics' of ginkgo sarcotesta, a reflux solvent extraction process based on sarcotesta separation and hydroginkgoic acid extraction was selected. The purified hydroginkgoic acid extraction was tested by HPLC, the purity is >90%.2, The alcohol extraction process condition were studied, the optimal extraction process conditions are ultrasonic extraction time 45min, alcohol mass fraction 80%, liquid-solid ratio of alcohol and ginkgo sarcotesta extraction solvent 15 ml/g.3, The ginkgo sarcotesta acids constituents of forty ginkgo clones were tested, fluctuation was 0.0275g/ml~0.1032 mg/ml, in which, 52,39,14,19,20,45 with higher sarcotesta acids constituent.4, The biological activities of the crude extract from sarcotesta were tested with four agricultural pests: Plutella xylostella, Spodoptera litura, Aphis craccivora and Aphis gossypii, and the result showed that the crude extract strongly inhibited the growth of Aphis craccivora and Aphis gossypii.5, Based on the cluster analysis of ginkgo sarcotesta acids constituents and percent of sarcotesta to ginkgo of forty ginkgo clones, these forty ginkgo clones had been classified into five groups, in which, 11, 32, 25, 26, 55, 45, 48 with higher sarcotesta acids constituent, higher yield of ginkgo seeds, higher percent of sarcotesta to ginkgo and higher yield of per plant of ginkgo sarcotesta, these ginkgo clones can be breed as sarcotesta used ginkgo foresty.
