Stranvaesia davidiana var. undulate Rehd.et Wils belongs to Rosaceae family. It's an evergreen brush with a high value for garden use because of it's remarkable flowers, fruits and color of leaves. In this paper, the propagation of seed and cutting, as well as heat tolerance were researched in order to provide theoretical basis and technique guide for the introduction, cultivation and exploitation application of Stranvaesia davidiana var. undulate.The results showed as follow:1. Seed propagationThe quality of seed was bad, because of low plumpness of 32.4%. The thousands kernel weight was 3.174±0.002g. The seed viability of un-disposed seed was 68.0%; The seed have an character of dormancy, which was elementary validated that resulted by late ripe of physiology and incompleted embryo; The fruits storage method of wet stratify in sand at natural low temperature was the best way to break dormancy, with the maximum seed germination percentage of 41.3%; the best germination temperature was 25℃; The germination percentage was not influenced by light, but which could promote the process of seed germination, as well as advance the quality of seedlings; Wet stratify seeds in sand at low temperature of 4℃for 35-40 days, then wet stratify seeds under temperature of 25℃for 4-6 days, which could be enhance the germination percentage greatly;2. Cutting propagationThe result showed that the rooting type of annual wattles of Stranvaesia davidiana var. Undulate originated not only from callus but also from shin, which was regarded as hard rooting type from the complicated rooting process; The experiment results of the effects of rooting index of various parts of the same wattle showed that the rooting percent was the highest of 51.3% when used the soft wood cutting of annual wattles; The experiment results of the effects of different hormones and their concentrations on the rooting index showed that the rooting percent was the highest of 52.0% when the soft wood cutting was soaked in NAA200mg·L-1 for 20min; The medium of sand is better than other's , with the highest rooting percent of 53.3%; The better season for annual wattles cottage is winter.3. Heat toleranceThe heat stress of temperature 42℃injuryed Stranvaesia davidiana var. Undulate trees that showed as yellow leaves and new-treetop death in field; The heat injury tolerance experiment in lab showed that the membrane penetrability and accumulation of MDA in leaves were raising with the addition of temperature, the higher the temperature is, he more remarkable the trend is, and 40℃,35℃were their transition temperature for heat tolerance; The activities of SOD and POD were increased at the beginning stage of high temperature and then decreased under higher temperature stress, and the activities of SOD and POD were lower than comparison at the temperature 40℃. Considered all of above index, then regarded Stranvaesia davidiana var. Undulate tree had been injuryed under high temperature of 40℃.
