| The maize is one of three large grain crops in our country. It can be used as food, forage and raw material of industry. Because it has strong compatibility, broad distribution, many utilization, maize occupies important place among food crops. Simultaneously the maize also is the most demand of water in dry land crops and very sensitive crops to drought stress. There are many of maize area, like Liaoning, North China, northwest such as the places all frequently suffer the arid threat in our country. Therefore drought has become the important attribute to influence maize yield. Therefore, the thorough research on maize's drought resistance has the vital significance regarding the maize production, particularly studies on drought resistance when the maize germinating of seed or the seedling stage in growing earlier period. All of these will be able provides related theory foundation and practical significant for the maize drought resistance breeding and drought-resistant cultivation.In this research, there are 10 maize hybrid varieties provided by Zhangjiakou Xinjiyuan Seed Company for experiments as the material. Tests had been carried on separately for determination and analysis drought-resistant characteristic and the drought resistance appraisal index in the germination time and the seedling stage. Using the variance analysis and the correlation analysis in the index data, 5 level of grading law and the correlation analysis were used in the drought resistance appraisal. The results are as follows:1. We used15% PEG-6000 to infiltrate solution simulating serious drought stress for the material seeds the tendency or the percentage of germination during germination time. Transferring ratio of stored substance or the growth of radical and plumose had dropt differently. We take seed germination drought-resistant index under the water stress as major indexes or quotas of drought-resistant appraisal. The tendency of relative germination and the percentage of relative germination, the transfer ratio of stored substance, the radicle length, the dry weight of radicle and the seed germination drought-resistant index correlated with drought resistance appraisal in the maize seedling.2. Potted method in seedling stages. Under the water stress condition, maize seedling height, leaf area, accumulation of the material of root and ground, the R/T drops obviously compared to CK. The appraisal result and the seed germination drought-resistant index coincidence with result remarkably by applying five level of grading to synthetic evaluation of the material drought resistance,3.The relative water content (RW) of leaves, the Vitamin C content, the GSH content dropped, the enzyme activity of nitric acid return reduced under water stress condition in maize seedling stage. Comparing to CK, the leaf water potential dropped; the content of praline, the soluble sugar, the MDA and the ultra oxygen anion free radix increased. The appraisal result and the conformation index appraisal result assumes extremely obviously connected by synthetic evaluation analysis applying to drought-resistant coefficient .also assumes with the seed germination drought-resistant index appraisal result obviously connected.4. Analyzing drought-resistant index in the seed germination time, the seedling stage shape index and the physiological and biochemistry index, we obtained the seed germination drought-resistant index such as lent high, leaf area, the dry material accumulation of the material of root and ground, the R/T and so on. These indexes are easy to determine and grasp, so they are feasible reliable. Furthermore, they are also suitable to spread in the agricultural production particular mountainous area. The result of drought-resistant comprehensive evaluation of ten tested varieties is: 301, HD is the highest drought resistance; J-06-1 variety, the second are J-6; the third were J-16, J-113, J-28; the last were J-1, J-115,108... |
