| City plant diversity reflects urban green level which is ecological factor of sustainable development of urban construction. Investigation of current plant species resources, compositions and characteristics of biological diversity have been done to provide a basic theory references for future urban green space planning, biodiversity conservation and utilization and creating ecological landscape city by synthetically investigation of green tree species in Baotou. The results show that:(1)There are 196 plant species belonging to 118 genera, 62 families in built-up green area of Baotou, in which, 131 tree species blonging to 64 genera, 35 families, 65 herb species blonging to 54 genera, 28 families, 180 dicotyledon species blonging to 107 genera, 58 families, 4 monocotyledon species blonging to 4 genera, 1 family. A few species of single-species are dominance in built-up green area.(2)Populus alba cv. Pyramidalis, Sabina chinensis, Populus hopeiensis, Picea meyeri, Pinus tabulaeformis, Salix matsudana f. pendula Schneid, Sophora japonica, Syringa oblata, Rosa rugosa, Sorbaria kirilowii, Rosa xanthina, Prunus triloba and Forsythia suspensa, as main green plants, are dominant in built-up green area.(3) Since native plant resources are limited in built-up green city, native plant resources explored and utilization should be enhanced in the future.(4) The built-up green area in the city is rich of arbor, followed by shrub, and shows same distribution in species diversity. In various green spaces, arbor layer and shrub layer which show highest diversity are all in large parks, while the smallest show in protection green space which mainly contains single-layer arbor.(5)Uniformity value of arbor is the highest in built-up green area in the city, followed by shrub. The highest uniformity value of arbor and shrub is in large park, the lowest is in road green space, and the lowest uniformity of shrubs is in the residential green space.(6)The highest diversity of various arbors are in built-up green area, followed by shrub. The highest diversity index, that is diversity of all plants, are in large parks, and relatively high in unit green space which followed by large parks and public green area. The lowest diversity index of arbor and shrub is in protection green area, which result in the lowest diversity index in total. |
