Stand condition,community and biomass of 55 sample of Pinus massoniana forest were inverted in June,2006,in May,2007,according to the date of forest management inventory in Lumensi Forest Farm,Hubei Province.The landsat 5 TM date on June 14, 2006,was matched with the area studying on.The value of band TM1-TM7 were extracted. and interposed 37 varieties by make use of TM values and their ratio,constitutes.The stand condition of height,slope,slope place,slope location,canopy density,were set as varieties by using theory quantification I.Then an model of biomass of Pinus massoniana with element as varieties of RS and stand condition have established by using cowered liner regression method.Research is indicated:The Pinus massoniana forest in Lumensi Forest Farm divided into 4 association type: (1):Ass.Cunninghamia lanceolata+ Zanthoxylum simulans- Rhus chinensis+ Carex sp.)。(2):Ass.Pinus massoniana- Quercus acutissima+ Vitex negundo vat.cannabifolia - Cercis chinensis+ Carex sp.(3):Ass.Pinus massoniana- Vitex negundo var.cannabifolia + Carex sp.(4):Ass.Pinus massoniana+ Carex sp.Biomass of Pinus massoniana forest related to association composition.The stand condition of Pinus massoniana forest in Lumensi Forest Farm:Height: 95-305 meters,Slope:9-25 degree,Age:20-39 years,Diameter:11-19 centimeters,Tall:8-16 meters,Canopy density:0.4-0.8,Biomass of sample:3.14-11.15 ton.The estimated model of biomass of Pinus massoniana in Lumensi forest farm was: Y = 9.06-0.0269×TM2 + 0.0014×TM4 + 0.0186×TM5 - 0.078×TM7 + 5.499×(TM4-TM3)/(TM4+TM3)- 1.387×(TM4 + TM5 -TM2)/(TM4 + TM5 + TM2) -0.0749×height-0.0126×Slope degree - 0.0347×ridge - 0.2112×Southern slope. Variance analysis of the model show it R~2=0.7886,the model have notability liner correlation in case ofα=0.05.The suitability and precision of the model were tested and regression analyzed,the result show that use it to estimate biomass of Pinus massoniana forest nearby Lumensi Forest Farm is suitable,it precision of the model is 92.17%,satisfied forest reserves request into 85%,and the model is unsuitable to estimate biomass of Pinus massoniana forest in Hubei province with it precision of the model is 61.85%.The technology and method that this research institute adopts is feasible within the area studying on.The comparison between the research and the same in the homeland show that the varieties of the estimate model of biomass have many deviation that were related to the sample using to construct the model and the time of the TM date excerpt different geographical location.The applicability of the estimate model of the biomass constructed by remote data and stand condition is limited.Estimate biomass by using 3S technology will be more maturity,more widely and more accurately with the development of remote sensing technique and the broad of area studying on.
