The relationship among root weight,sugar content and content of main nutrient composition in sugarbeet root were studied after harvest,the experimental design including the same cultivar grown in the same field but with different cultivation manners,and various cultivars grown in the same field with the identical cultivation manners. The result showed that :â‘ root weight was correlative with sugar content,concretely they were positive correlation at root weight near 700g for cultivar in Dalat country;and near 900g for cultivars in Tuyou country.â‘¡The principle components affecting root weight and sugar content were N,P,K,Na,Zn,B for five test cultivars,the major factors impacting root weight were N,P,K and Zn ,N,P,Na and B were major factors affecting sugar content. The content of N,P,K and Na were positive correlation with root weight but negative correlation with sugar content,B content was on the contrary. There were differences in Zn content to different cultivars. Our results provide significant guide for rational cultivation of sugarbeet.
