Arbuscular mycorrhizas(AM) attracts people's attention because of its ability of improveabsorbtion of nourishment, enhance low temperature, drought and saline fastness and improvethe quality and production of the crop. In the experiment a kind of cucumber "Miciwang" wasused as experimental material and plantlets were planted in containers which were placed ingreenhouse. This article investigated the influence of AM inoculation on growth anddevelopment of cucumber plants primarily.Orthogonal design was used. In the design, three kinds of AM (Glomus mosseae (G. m),Glomus versiforme (G. v) and Glomus etunicatum (G. e)), quantity of AM inoculation (0, 50,100 spores) and inoculation time (35, 45, 55)days after planting were assembled. Height ofthe plant, thickness of stem, number of leaves, dry weight above the ground, content ofchlorophyll, quantity of root bleeding sap and the change of elements content were measured. The statistical result is:(1) AM bring great influence on growth of plants. As for height, number of leaves anddry weight, The plants inoculated with 100 spores for 55 days were 45%, 44% and 47%increased respectively compared with those control. As for stems of the plants, plantsinoculated with 100 spores for 55 day were 28% thicker than that of control.(2) AM can also enhance the activity of roots of plants. Roots of plants inoculated with100 spores had the best activity and 36% more than that of control; the content of magnesiumand kalium in root bleeding sap of the plants inoculated with 100 spores for 45 days washighest and 91% and 34% more than those of control, respectively.(3) There was little influence of AM inoculation on chlorophyll content, content ofinorganic phosphorus, nitrate nitrogen, calcium in root and amino acid in bleeding sap.(4)Under the condition of the experiment, the influence of the kinds of AM on themorphological and physiological index is not remarkable.(5) Inulation with 100 spores of G. v for 55 days has the best effect on the growth ofcucumber plants by analysing morphological and root physiological data based on Second-class Fuzzy Comprehensive Judgement.
