This experiment was designed through three new CMS-D8 male sterile lines andcorresponding maintainer lines and three restorer lines. Twenty-seven combinations werecomprised. Nine combinations were three lines hybrid combination. Nine combinationswere designed by container line×restorer line. And the other nine combinations weredesigned by restorer line xcontainer line. Ezamian 1 as CK was used to the experiment.The paper mainly researched that heterosis of yield and quality for three lines hybridcombinations and the cytoplasmic effects of CMS-D8 on yield, quality and genotype. Theanalysis results as follow:1. Performance of heterosis for three lines hybrid combination, on the yield trait allcombinations had negative competitive heterosis when compared to Ezamian 1. Fourcombinations had significant difference compared to Ezamian 1. All combination hadsignificant difference or greatly difference compared to CK. E(S)×Kang A3(R) was thebest in three lines hybrid combination. Three lines combination had a low level than CKon single boll weight and lint percentage through analysis of yield components, but hadno difference on number of boll and some combinations were high positive competitiveheterosis.2. Through analysis of fiber quality for three lines hybrid combination, the results showedthat three line combinations had no significant difference than CK Ezamian 1. Evenimproved some fiber qualities. The micronaire of three combination reached to A gradeand three line hybrid combination obviously enhanced micronaire of fiber.3. The results of cytoplasmic effect of CMS-D8 showed that sterile cytoplasm had greatlyinfluenced on seed yield and lint yield. The seed yield decreased 15.3%~25.6% on averageand lint yield also decreased 25.0%~39.0%. but the sterile cytoplasm had different effectsto different yield components. And had negative effect on boll weight and lint percentage.While had no significantly on number of boll. The fiber length and fiber uniformity were no influenced by sterile cytoplasm of D8 andreduced micronaire to 1.4~1.5, improved the fiber strength to 1.0~1.1 cN·tex-1 andenhanced fiber elongation to 0.4%.Different genotypes were influenced differently by sterile cytoplasm ofD8.Combinations which included E1 parent had little influenced by sterile cytoplasm onboll weight, but combinations which included 119 parent had greatly influenced. The lintpercentage of different genotype influenced greatly by sterile cytoplasm. The genotype ofER9xZHONG 759221 was consistent both on sterile cytoplasm and normal cytoplasm,but genotype of ER3×119 was influenced greatly.
