Microbial Organic Fertilizer (MOF) contains large amount of organic substances and soilavailable microbe (SAB). During life activities process of SABs, a great deal of organic acid wasproduced, available form of N, P and K were released continually. These effects could improve soilphysical, chemical properties and soil fertility, take positive role for planting of Alfalfa in salineland and amendment of saline land. So research and application of MOF is important for saline landamendment and usage.In this research, different amount of MOF was added in mild and medium saline soil withpotted experimental method, plant and soil samples were collected in different time. There weretwo types of Alfalfa, Ameristand and AC Caribou, used in this experiment. Six physiological andbiochemical indexes (osmoregulation substance in cells, protective enzyme activity andchlorophylls etc.), seven soil parameters (pH of soil, organic substances, available nitrogen etc.)were determined. Different amount of MOF showed different effect to Alfalfa tolerance ability tosalinization and physical chemical properties of soil. The results are as follows:1. The content of chlorophylls in Alfalfa leaf increased with the addition of fertility, but theincreased quantity of chlorophylls was different.2. MOF could improve Alfalfa tolerance ability to salinization, transforming of soluble sugarand activity of protective enzyme like POD, SOD; and reduce the content of Proline, salinizationdamage to Alfalfa and MDA content, and decrease damage to membrane system, which caused bymembrane lipid peroxidation due to salinity stress, make stability to membrane system. Theaddition of MOF make positive relationship to its effect.3. MOF could increase organic substances and reduce pH in soil. In mild and medium salinesoil experiments, the lowest pH occurs in 80g/m~2 treatment. In mild saline soil, 80g/m~2 treatmentcondition, the organic substance in soil increase by 0.09% after 120 days. The increase of organicsubstance increased obviously with addition of MOF.4. MOF could alleviate decrease of nutrient in soil during the plant growth, activate迟效态N, P and K in soil, improve microbial environmental.5. This experiment indicated that MOF could be widely used in saline land, it could improve chemical and physical properties of saline soil, accelerate Alfalfa growth process. The reasonableamount of MOF in mild saline soil is 60~80g/m~2, considering the rate of input-output, theoptimized condition is 60g/m~2; dosage in medium saline soil should be above 80g/m~2.
