| Based on the present case of maize production in Huanghuaihai area, the main model"Reid×Tang-si-ping-tou"referred to the utilization of hybrid vigor, as well as the breeding theory of core germplasm in maize, the variety breeding target in maize which was suit to sow in Henan province and Huanghuaihuai area in summer was carried out. Using the variety Zhengdan 598 as the check variety and Reid, Tang-si-ping-tou and other material as parents, several crosses were tested. Among these, a new maize variety Luodan 6 was cultivated. The planted and technique system of Luodan 6 was preliminary analyzed. The variety breeding of Luodan 6 again confirmed that"Reid Tang-si-ping-tou"was the mainly model for the utilization of hybrid vigor In this paper, the breeding and plant technique of Luodan 6 were reported. The main results were as follows:1.Luodan 6 has a high and stable yield. In the test, Luodan 6 showed the higher yield than Zhengdan 598 in Henan province in 2004 and 2005, which increased 3.2%. In 2006, it increased 5.3% than Zhengdan 598. Moreover, Luodan 6 showed the high resistance to four diseases and the great agronomic characters. Meanwhile it had the well quality.2.The row research show that:June, 15 was the best rowing date for Luodan 6. The earlier for rowing, the higher for yield. To obtain the highest production, the best proportion for N,P2O5 and K2O was 2.2∶1∶1, which was 414kg,186kg,187.5kg per h2 respectively.3.The results about Luodan 6'breeding and its seed production showed that in the Huanghuaihai area, male should be rowed 3 to 5 day later than female. In northwest, 70% male seeds permitted to row three days later when female seeds were rowed, then five days later, the rest should be rowed. The planting lines for male and female showed that 6:1 was the best proportion for male's and female's. In northwest, 9000 individuals should be planted per hm2 for female and 12000-15000 individuals for male. In the same way, 67250 individuals for female and 12000 individuals for male should be rowed in Huanghuai area.4.The research results of Luodan 6 suggested it was feasible to breed single self-cross variety which has the good agronomic characters, the higher production, the multiple resistances, the well quality and the high efficiency of seed produce. |
