Successful alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) seed production requires special climatic and field management practices. Farm management is very important on seed production of alfalfa. The experiment was carried out on the influence of different plant style (different density ), irrigation quantity, deposit apiary or not during early pod period and spray desiccant before harvest on alfalfa seed production at seed production experiment station of Institute of Animal Science of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science which located in Etuoke country of westen Inner Mongolia.The results indicated that:(1) There is no significant difference between seed production and plant style (density) , but the number of pre area reproductive shoots, pods/shoot, seeds/pod, 1000-seed weight is significant difference. Lower density is much better quality of seed production than larger density.(2) Irrigation quantity 600m~3/hm~2 in early pod period produce 377.33 kg/hm~2 seed yield, which is more than all the others. However more or less than 600m~3/hm~2 irrigation quantity will decrease the seed production.(3) 100 chests bee (bee density 3 chests/hm~2) were distributed in alfalfa seed field duiring early bloom stage. To deposit apiary beside the experiment field will increase 13.58%~72.12% seed yield of alfalfa. The nearest treatment from apiary 30m away can reach 422.70 kg/hm~2 seed production, more than all the others. There is significant negative correlation (r=-0.988, p=0.01) between distance from apiary and seed production.(4) Spray paraquat (1,500ml/hm~2)before harvest can significant increase the dry of alfalfa stem and leaf, make harvest easily, and also reduce seeds lost, but the seed yield between different treatments is not reach significant difference. Spray paraquat before harvest can increase efficiency of harvest machine, make seed filtrate easily, it is benifit for alfalfa seed production.
