| Chicory is a perennial herbage of compositae.Chicory root contains inulin about 70 percent (take the dry matter). Inulin is a kind of natural levan,which has the characteristics of ligofructose and diet fiber. Inulin has been focused on as function food in the world with healthy pursuing.The enzyme browning of chicory root,decolorization and antioxidation activities of inulin were studied from chicory roots.Laying performance, serum antioxidation parameters and intestinal microflora of hens were also studied, while inulin and crude inulin(chicory root extracts) were added to the hen's basal diet.The results were shown as follows:1.On the basis of determination of the optimum pH value,optimum temperatue of polyphenol oxidase and the effect of different color-keeping methords on chicory root and polyphenol oxidase,the optimum color-keeping condition of chicory root was obtained as follows:dose of sodium hydrogen sulfite,0.5%, dose of citric acid,1.5%,dose of sodium chloride,1.5%,chicory root was directly dipped in color-keeping solution.2.Eight types of macroporous resin were screened using static absorption test and then single-factor,orthogonal experiments and variance analysis were applied to establish the optimal conditions for the de-colorization of chicory Inulin.Thee results indicated that the macroporous resin LSD-263 presented the highest adsorption ability to the pigmen of chicory inulin among the eight types resins studied;The optimal conditions were that the feeding temperature, pigment concentration and feeding rate were 45℃,0.773Abs and 3BV/h, respectively.In this condition, the pigment adsorption content of LSD-263 can get to 14.48△A V/ml and the inulin lose rate is only 2.38%.3.Several methods were adopted to study the antioxidation of inulin and crude inulin, the conclusions were: inulin and crude inulin had different capability to remove superoxide negion(O2-·),hydroxyl free radicals(·OH) and DPPH·,which improved with the increase of concentration of their solution. 4.Different proportion of inulin and crude inulin were added to the basal diet of 350 days NIC-T hens. Laying performance, serum superoxide dimutase (SOD)and malond- ialdehyed (MDA), cecum fresh contents's pH,inulinase activity,Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Lactibacilus and Bifidobacterium concentration were measured.The results showed that,Inulin and crude inulin can be used by intestinal benefitful microfora, enhance inulinase activity and decrease intestinal pH value,then give back intestine benefitful microfora an adaptive condition to propagate, and restrain microflora that is bad for animal health to grow. Inulin and crude inulin can also advance antioxidation ability,disease resistance and production perfermence of hens.In this experiment condition,for inulin, the diet containing 1% is fitful; for crude inulin, the diet containing 0.1% is fitful. |
