Shrub has played an important role in Road improvements and landscaping. In recent years, researchers have conducted a lot of experiment and study excellent revetment plant by the biotechnology . however ,there is a lot of the exposed slope, which needs more good slope protection plants. The author has improved germination test though the experiments of Harvesting Time test, GA3, NaOH, Cold stratification treatment, which provides a scientific basis for multiplication largely. This test, though the experiment of Cultivation and revetment Performance Comparison Test with another shrub called Lespedeza bicolor Turcz., provides a scientific basis for the use of this shrub with local conditions and choice of revetment plant scientifically. The results are as follows:(1) The ideal sowing time of Vitex negundo var. heterophylla and Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. is early and mid april. Ideal cultivation measure is plastic membrane and mulching plastic. Two kind of bushes' growths all present the s shape and The growth peak is located in July and in August. Under the manual cultivation condition, the fast-growing of Lespedeza bicolor Turcz is stronger than Vitex negundo var. heterophylla, however, more susceptible to the constraint of moisture conditions. Lespedeza bicolor Turcz is stronger than Vitex negundo var. heterophylla in rainfall interception. The genn time of Vitex. is longer than Lespedeza., however, Latter is stronger than former in drought -resistant ability.(2)Root biomass and the depth soil present exponential function. The growth of Two kinds of shrubs in South Slope is better than North Slope. The growth difference, of Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. 'roots between in South Slope and North Slope, is bigger than Vitex negundo var.heterophylla' Vitex negundo var. heterophylla' effective root density greater than Lespedeza bicolor Turcz.', and the former is stronger than the latter in the improvement of soil structure stability, soil infiltration and soilerosion resistance.(3)Various seed of harvesting time has different germination rate. The germination rate of Semi-brown seed , which is harvested during 10th Sept and 20th,is the highest. 0.4~0.8‰GA3 can significantly increase the rate of seed germination , and 0.8%o is highest, the more concentration over 0.8‰ can inhibit germination. Cold stratification treatment could also significantly increase seed germination rate , Among them, 4℃/21 days is the best. However, NaOH can inhibit germination.
