| A total of 336 21-day-old Peking ducklings these had same weight and normal development were divided into 6 groups, each with 7 replicates (8 each), to determine the effects of dietary niacin levels (0mg/kg, 30mg/kg, 60mg/kg, 90 mg/kg,120mg/kg,1000 mg/kg) on average daily feed intake (ADFI), average daily gain (ADG), feed conversion (F/G), yield of carcass, eviscerated carcass percentage, breast muscle percentage, leg muscle Percentage, subcutaneous fat rate, abdominal fat percentage, lipid content of liver, lipid content of pectoral muscle, serum total cholesterol (TCH), serum triglyceride(TG), serum high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL--C), serum low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL --C), serum total protein, serum albumin, serum estradiol, serum cAMP, hepatic FAS enzyme activity. The result showed: the levels of dietary niacin had significant effect on average daily feed intake (ADFI), feed conversion of 3-6-week-old Peking ducklings(P<0.05), but had no significant effect on ADFI (P>0.05). With the increasing of dietary niacin level, the change appeared to initially increase before then decreasing in quadratic. But the tendency of feed conversion rate initially decreased before then increasing in quadratic (regardless of 1000mg/kg dietary niacin). Effect of dietary niacin level 30mg/kg, 60 mg/kg, 90 mg/kg, 120 mg/kg, 1000 mg/kg on feed conversion was significantly lower than the control groups, but there were significantly different among dietary niacin level 30mg/kg, 60 mg/kg, 90 mg/kg, 120 mg/kg, 1000 mg/kg. The levels of dietary niacin among each groups had no significant effect on average daily feed intake (ADFI). But as increasing of dietary niacin level, the tendency was to initially decrease before then increasing. The levels of dietary niacin had significant effect on subcutaneous fat rate, abdominal percentage. Effect of 30mg/kg dietary niacin level on the yield of carcass was significantly lower than 60mg/kg, 90mg/kg, 120mg/kg, 1000mg/kg dietary niacin level. Effect of 120mg/kg dietary niacin level on the eviscerated carcass percentage was significantly higher than 30mg/kg dietary niacin level, and there were no significant differences among others. The effect of serum TP of 3-6-week-old Peking ducklings was significant (P<0.05) by niacin except for CHO, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, ALB(P>0.05). The tendency of treatments were no significant effect that was to initially decrease before then increasing with increasing of dietary niacin level, total protein of 90mg/kg dietary niacin level was significantly lowest than 60g/kg,120g/kg,1000g/kg dietary niacin level. The tendency of cAMP concentration in adipose tissue of Peking duckling on dietary added 1000mg/kg niacin level was higher 47.06% than control group, but was not significant. Content of serum E2 was decreased significantly by niacin. The tendency of initially decreasing before then increasing with... |
