Acanthopanax is a more common medicinal plants, with a high edible, medicinal, industrial processing, viewing, and other economic value. In this thesis, the effect of different cultivation conditions on photosynthetic characteristics, growth and physiological characteristics of Acanthopanax was studied. It revealed the adaptability of Acanthopanax under different cultivation conditions and provided scientific evidence for the growth pattern of Acanthopanax under artificial cultivation conditions and the achievement of high biomass.1. the effects of different shade conditions on the photosynthetic characteristics of AcanthopanaxThe daily variation of photosynthetic of Acanthopanax under full light and little shade conditions presented a bimodal curve, with the obvious "midday depression", while the variation under 35% and 63% transmittancy conditions was a unimodal curve. The daily variation of intercellular CO2 concentration under full light and 80% transmittancy conditions presented a similar "w" shaped curve, while under 35% and 63% transmittancy conditions, the curve was like this. Descended to the lowest value at 12:00, and then went up. The transpiration rate increased with the transmittancy decreasing. Acanthopanax is shade-adapted plant, so it should be given appropriate shade during cultivation or plant shading crops between rows avoiding exposure to strong light.2. Effects of different shade conditions on growth and biomass of AcanthopanaxAcanthopanax growed very well under 63% transmittancy conditions and the leaf area and biomass of plants was the most one of the four groups. It was conducive to the manufacture and accumulation of photosynthetic products. Under 35% transmittancy conditions, the leaf area of Acanthopanax was relatively small and the biomass was relatively more. It showed that under this condition the biomass of plants was assigned to nutrient absorption organs. It was not conducive to photosynthate accumulation and plant growth. It showed that appropriate shading played a facilitating role on the growth of Acanthopanax plants.3. Effects of different shade conditions on the physiological characteristics of AcanthopanaxThe effect of shading degree on chlorophyll content was significant. Under shade conditions, the chlorophyll content of Acanthopanax increased significantly. This reinforced the use of light quantum. Soluble sugar and starch are the main forms of the operation and accumulation of photosynthesis products respectively. Under 63% transmittancy conditions, the soluble sugar and starch content of Acanthopanax leaves were significantly higher than those of control group (under full ligth condition). While under 35% transmittancy conditions the soluble sugar and starch content were significantly lower than those of control group. This showed that the appropriate shade conditions are conducive to the photosynthesis of Acanthopanax for accumulation of organics.4. Effects of nitrogen fertilizer on photosynthetic characteristics of Acanthopanax The increase of nitrogen fertilizer could significantly improve the photosynthesis of Acanthopanax compared to the control group. The photosynthetic capacity of Acanthopanax was the strongest and the net photosynthetic rate was the highest under the C treatment (15g/strain) conditions. Under the D treatment (20g/strain) conditions, photosynthesis declined slightly.5. Effects of nitrogen fertilizer on growth and biomass of AcanthopanaxWhen the nitrogen fertilizer is not sufficient, the leaf area and photosynthetic capacity were reduced, thus the growth and biomass accumulation of Acanthopanax plants were inhibited. It showed that the appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer could significantly improve the growth of Acanthopanax.6. Effects of nitrogen fertilizer on the content of photosynthetic pigment and proteinThe content of photosynthetic pigment was significantly increased with the increase of nitrogen fertilizer. The content of soluble protein was also increased significantly.
