Modern agricultural production has caused severely environmental contamination by applying a great deal of fertilizers. With the development of new technologies of fertilizers, the technical of controlled release fertilizers is mature, but the effects of bulk blend fertilizers with different controlled nitrogen ratios and application modes on fields need to be explore to find out the best controlled nitrogen ratios and application modes. The fields experiments and in door chemical analyses were carried out to discus bulk blend fertilizers with different controlled-released nitrogen ratios and application modes on the growth effects of maize as well as the activities of the soil enzymes and fertilizer use efficiency to testify appropriate ratio of controlled nitrogen and application modes. Provide theoretical support for the spread and application of controlled-released fertilizers as well as the development of sustainable agriculture. The main results are as follows:(1) The BBFs with higher ratio of controlled N reduce the loss of N at different maize growth stages and defer the release sumit of N. The BBFs with higher ratio of controlled-N can effectively stabilize the pH and EC in the soil. The release of the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode increased the availability of soil nutrients.(2) The activity of urease enzyme in the release of the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode was higher than any other treatments, but there was no significant change on the promotion effect. The activities of phosphatase and sucrase in the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode were much higher than any other treatments in the whole Maize grain periods except for seedling stage. The activity of catalase in the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode was higher than any other treatments in the later stages. And the activity of catalase was less affected by the different controlled nitrogen ratios and application modes.(3) When fertilizing amount was same, the release of the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode compared to the other applied fertilizers treatments, it promote the growth of the Maize and it increased maize yield by 6.45%-19.70%.(4) When fertilizing amount was same, the release of the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode enhanced fertilizer N use efficiency, the highest by 65.38%. Compared with the other applied fertilizers treatments it increased P fertilizer use efficiency by 2.85%-95.55%. The release of the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode enhanced fertilizer K use efficiency, compared with the other ratios of controlled-release nitrogen in bulk blend fertilizers and application modes; it increased K fertilizer use efficiency by 6.42%-20.11%.(5) The release of the 52.5% ratio of controlled-release bulk blend fertilizers in basal application mode was the best ratio of controlled-release nitrogen and application mode in maize field.
