Marigold industry developed rapidly in China, its use in addition to process and sell flowers flowers set, the suburbs are for cut flowers or potted plant growers supply the market for urban greening, planted in city parks, flower beds, flower pots, landscaping. In this paper, designed with controlled release fertilizer(CRF), a plug-seedling experiment in different fertilizer levels and different types was conducted. On this basis, then a pot experiment was designed. All the experiments were designed to explore the nutrient supply mode, the best and appropriate types of fertilizers in plug-seedling and pot ways. for the cultivation of marigold to provide the theoretical basis for rational fertilization. The main results are as follows1. The available nutrient was increased slowly by CRF in growth medium; the medium available nutrient content and fertilizer application were highly significant positive correlated. The the nutrient waste and pollution were reduced. The nutritional needs of plug seedlings were meet better by CRF(20-8-10), CRF(20-8-10) played a significant role in promoting growth, and the optimum amount is 150g·kg-1 dry substrate.2.The content of nitrogen in marigold seedling was 2.091-5.242 % ,phosphorus was 0.484-1.237% ,Potassium was 1.561-2.160% , the seedling N/P/K ratio was 1:0.21:0.57 . The content and accumulation of N/P/K of seedlings were significantly increased with the CRFs.3. The results of pot experiments are showed in following, soil available nutrients after fertilization has a growth trend of increased and then decreased with growth periods, with the increase of fertilizer upward trend in different fertilization treatments. Plant nutrient content and soil available nutrients with growth periods have a similar trend which was first increased and then decreased during the parabolic type, plant nutrient content has no significant change in fertilizer application rate law.4. The plug seedlings, which were applied CRFs, grew faster than the blank, through a variety of data analysis can be seen that the appropriate amonut of controlled release fertilizer could promote the synthesis of chlorophyll marigold plant, stem diameter, plant high ,biomass accumulation, with CRF treatment possessed boosted florescence, flowering volume, greatly improved the flower stem ornamental value. CRF2 treatment in the pot marigold trials has the best overall performance, the optimum amount of fertilizer on pot experiment was the 4g·kg-1.
